It happened twice in 2008, once in 2009 and 2010 that I remember off the top of my head. More common than you think.

I watch Texas regularly when they're on TV. I watch the CWS regularly as well. Best baseball on the planet is played in Omaha.

I used to live near Rice University. Was a great afternoon when I could ride my bicycle over and watch them play. And that was during the SWC days.

****
Though, it was kinda odd seeing a team from Long Island. Was glad to see them, sorry to see them go.

Get rid of the AI bats and go back to wood like the professionals, just think of how many Alum bats cost some scouts their jobs. I'd like to see this "stud" do that with an ash bat.

Though I agree that I'd like to see wood bats at all levels, I think that would have been a well-hit ball regardless of the type of bat

I found this article... interesting read.

Why Isn’t College Baseball More Popular?

"The final game in the NCAA Men’s basketball tournament had an average of 23.4 million viewers; the Men’s College World series drew in 2.9 million viewers over the course of two nights."

I wonder if it is just the difference of talent, college baseball isn't even low ball or high A ball or even minor league ball.

Is watching college ball like watching high level high school ball?

Where would college ball fit in this list?

0. Miami Marlins
1. AAA
2. AA
3. A-Advanced
4. A
5. A-Short Season
6. Rookie-Advanced
7. Rookie
8. Off-Season league
9. Independent Leagues
10. College
11. AAU
12. High school

So does nobody care because it is so low on the baseball totem pole?
