That clip about Allen's blindness brought to mind Don Wardlow, who was the analyst and color commentator on the Charleston Riverdogs radio play by play in the South Atlantic League, even though he has been totally blind since birth and has absolutely no idea what baseball (or anything else) looks like.

The clutch Derek Jeter throws out Bernadina after Jeter's error allows Zimmerman to get on base.
