The Indians went down to the A's tonight, 3-0, the ML leading 12th shutout by the A's staff.

This was the 11th loss in the last 12 games for Cleveland. In the Indians last eight games, they have scored eleven runs. The club is 5-23 since July 27th, a day when they had launched an eleven game losing streak where they were outscored 95 to 36.

Dodgers down 3 - 0 in Beckett's debut

1 out triple by Shane Victorino increases LA's WE to 10%
Mark Ellis, hit by a pitch increase LA's WE to 15%

Matt Kemp up, followed by Adrian Gonzalez and Andre Ethier

SOB!:
Kemp ground into a double play. LA's WE tumbles to 3%

2nd Outstanding performance by Brett Anderson after returning from the DL.

In today's game he walked 0 and struck out 5 of the 25 hitters that he faced. He retired 12 on groundballs and gave up only 1 outfield fly. Those rates lead to an expected runs allowed of 2.05. He, of course, gave up 0.

In his first start back, he was even better, facing 22 hitters, giving up 0 walks and striking out 6. He induced 13 ground balls and 0 outfield flies. Expected runs allowed of 1.5.

A definite shot in the arm (no pun intended) for a team that lost Bartolo Colon to a PED suspension and a team vying for a playoff spot.

Also dominant was King Felix

Felix walked 1 of the 32 hitters he faced while K'ing 5.
He induced 19 ground balls and just 2 out field flies. That's an expected runs allowed of 1.57.

He pitched a complete game shut out

And this game goes to ****. Dodgers give up 3, and counting, in the bottom of the 8th.
Kemp smashes into the wall, and all Dodger fans feared the worst. He stays in the game though.

Expect them to sacrafice Acta when the season is over, even though he isn't the problem

I'll see what I can do, but it will have to wait until Friday, after the A's-Indians series has concluded.
