I agree that the Trop is a comfortable place to watch a game. I'll take a roof and turf over summer heat and lightning every time. The fans and players at Fenway today looked miserable.

Wow, you upgraded your opinion of them!

Here are some observations for true fans to soak in:

The Rays have never had more the four players hit 20 or more homers in a season. This year there could very well be SIX. (Boston might only end up with two).

There are five Rays starters with OBP's .350 or higher (none are Longoria).

Rays players lead or share the lead in these individual AL categories: hits, walks, triples, and saves.

The Rays are on pace to hit 216 homers.

More power/OBP is coming as Wilson Ramos comes off the DL. (22 HR/.354 OBP last year in 482 AB's)

The Rays' starting pitching has the best ERA in the AL East (3.60 with everyone else 4.30 or higher).

And the Red Sox, both in the road, and game 1 in the Yankees series. Please find another team to hate.

As soon as the Rays see success, they return to their old ways......swept by Mariners.

You should be glad you still have Archer and Odorizzi in that Rays rotation. Five and a half games isn't really hard to overcome, even in this division, and I just don't think that the Yankees are going to stay hot (5-5 in their last 10). Plus, Archer's piling up the strikeouts. And Corey Dickerson is surging in the All-Star vote counts.
