If the season were to end today, the Rays would be in the playoffs. Lots of playing left as they head into the second half of the season, but hopefully their best playing is ahead of them. Their pitching staff hasn't shown a fraction of what they're capable of......

You guys have a shot at it. I don't think the Yankees will hold on, but let's see what Baltimore and Boston do in the second half. Tough break for David Price. He had just 87 pitches in what was a very fine complete game. As you know, he lost that game, but no one since 1999 in MLB had thrown less than 90 pitches in a complete game defeat. He should have no problem with Toronto coming up.

Now the Rays will have to do some very important divisional games on the road the next two weeks (Toronto, Boston, and New York).
