Possible, perhaps. I actually predicted 70-92 this year. The front office guys are wanting to see them finish .500, but they've still got a ways to go.

Nice photo of Eisenhower. But he should be holding a golf ball.

Tough loss 1-0 in 12 innings to the Rangers. Only 2 hits - not good.

They've got to get their offense going, even against people like Darvish. To be the best, they're going to have to learn to beat the best. On the plus side, Houston's pitching did hold up well for as long as it did.

By the way, the Astros are second in the American League in home runs, but yet have the lowest batting average in same.

And you guys get Kansas City tonight. The Royals are down right now, so you've got a chance to kick 'em while they are. That pitching's been looking real good. Two games with shutouts into the sixth inning against a good Rangers team says a lot about how your team has improved.

You're right about the long ball. You've got that going for you now, but Houston's hitters need the mindset of manufacturing runs more often. They've got to quit striking out and take more walks.

George Springer finally got the call today. He will be in the lineup in the #2 spot.

Nice move at the right time. This lineup desperately needs to get out of a bad slump.

George Springer has now hit safely in each of his first five games as a major leaguer. Had a hit today in the first inning against Oakland.

^^ Springer had a big hit last night when it really mattered. He got the game-winner against the Mariners. And this after striking out in four of five trips to the plate.

Springer finally got his first homer on Thursday during a great win in Detroit.

Off the Astros go to Baltimore for the weekend.
