Notable in tonight's 3-2 extra-inning win: Jose Altuve's walk-off double marked his very first walk-off hit in his career. Hard to believe, considering all his contributions for the past few years, but that walk-off in the 10th against Seattle was Jose's first.

My mistake: Jose's hit was actually a single, but it got a run in.

Here's what it looked like.

Things definitely are looking up now, DRob. The key at this point is the team maintaining and sustaining this type of play for five more months. And all of this happened while George Springer had a batting average around the Mendoza Line. Wait until he gets hot.....

I'm worried these younger guys may not have the experience to cope with the ups and downs of a long season. The Rangers series was a bad joke!

The challenge the Astros face now is how to cope with their recent success and how to handle it (the events before the wheels came off in the Texas series, of course). They can't afford to get over their heads.

So, now, they have to go back on the road and do what they've actually done well all year, and that's win on the road. They should have won Game 1 of the Rangers series, but nothing can change the result now. The players need to learn from that. Getting back on their feet starts tonight in Anaheim.

Do you think streaks are going to be the result of the analytics they use?

Take a look at two plays from last night's win. Yes, the skid is over! Houston pulls it out in the ninth against the Angels. Marisnick's crazy play is followed by Altuve's in the clip below.

You guys have a pretty unbalanced offense. The batting averages of tonight's Astros lineup against SF.

.323
.333
.200
.182
.237
.150
.229
.239
.149

That is Marisnick and Altuve at the top of the order batting .328, and everyone else batting a collective .198.
