Marwin Gonzalez has done it. Sooner or later, this needed to happen.

Marwin Gonzalez ends solo home run streak | MLB.com

Too bad Astros radio cat Steve Sparks missed out on that. Hooks radio voice Mike Coffin was filling in in Steve's absence. I just love Steve's home run calls....

Houston was playing better baseball after having won a Cleveland series at Minute Maid which included a much-needed walkoff win.

So, now, we have a big test for an Astros team that needs to play better on the road. Last night's loss at Fenway did not help matters at all. And Dallas Keuchel has lost his command. He's now 2-5.

Houston needs to get better in a hurry and take advantage while the Angels and Oakland are in the midst of a struggle. This is the time to seize the moment.

What is it with the Astros unable to get past the Rangers? It's not like the Rangers bullpen has done anything special lately, and they aren't what they were last year. The Astros, except for a few new faces, have basically the same lineup as last year. It seems Houston can't get a hit against Texas.

The Astros' starters are currently being outdone by the Rangers' starters. It's a mystery as to why there's that stigma when the two teams are playing. Even Houston's two most recent call-ups, Tony Kemp and Colin Moran, have not produced much.

Keuchel is struggling now. He was once unbeatable at home. Not now.

Astros starting to rebound. In the middle of a home-and-home with the Diamondbacks, and Houston has already won the overall series. One more game against the Snakes this afternoon at Minute Maid. It's time for a Keuchel win.

And Springer is hot! That leadoff spot has done him good.

Houston finally beats the Rangers in Arlington for the first time in a year. Now that that monkey is off their backs, maybe the Astros can finally make it a series tie in the hot heat this afternoon. McHugh versus Perez.

Hey, you guys are starting to click once again. Nice series vs the Angels. Isn't that two walk-off wins in a row?

^^^ Earlier in the week, yeah.

And the Astros put up a big 9 spot on the first inning board last night in a rout of KC. George Springer was one double away from the cycle. Had a triple and a home run in that momentous first inning, and then singled later on.

Is Jose Altuve the first half AL MVP? Gotta be, right?

He definitely should be. Where he will be, however, is the second base starter in this year's All-Star Game for the American League.
