It's now five, Mal.

Houston is off to a great start at 2-0. Game 3 is tonight. Lots of fun.

Good thing they did not trade Springer. Hopefully he will stay healthy for the whole year.

Recap from the Royals/Astros game from the Royals thread:

"Royals 5 @ Astros 1.

Salvy homered over the railroad tracks and out of Minute Maid Park in the 2nd for a Royals lead, and Moustakas scored in the 6th when Paulo Orlando reached on catcher's interference. They gave up another run in the 7th so now their 7th inning run differential is -15 on a Carlos Beltran double but that was it for the Astros that inning and the game. Salvy scored the 3rd Royals run in the 8th on a passed ball by Astros catcher Evan Gattis while Alex Gordon doubled in Brandon Moss and Alcides Escobar later in the inning for the final 2 runs of the night. Mike Fiers (0-1) 2 runs (1 earned) on 5 hits (1 homer) with 3 walks and 3 strikeouts in 6 innings. Jason Vargas (1-0) allowed 1 run on 6 hits in 6+ innings with 1 walk and 6 strikeouts. Peter Moylan (1st hold) and Travis Wood (1st hold) combined for 1 hitless inning with 1 walk and 2 strikeouts to pick up holds.

Game 2 of the series goes on Saturday. Danny Duffy (0-0, 1.50) starts for the Royals while Dallas Keuchel (1-0, 0.00) starts for the Astros. Game time slated for 7:10."

Collin McHugh out with a posterior impingement of his right elbow

He had been out but now he's shut down for 6 weeks.

Astros' offense has been sputtering so far. Earlier in the week, they did just enough to win games. In the three losses that ensued thereafter, Houston has done nothing. It's only a matter of time before a lot of these guys can really get going. Altuve is currently in a slump, but you know he'll rebound. The pitching mostly has been good except for one Ken Giles meltdown and a poor Saturday outing by Luke Gregerson.

This franchise acquired certain people in the offseason to improve this offense so it can be more explosive and more consistent. When it finally does become consistent, it will be scary. It's time that these guys get it going, because they keep looking like this club did the last couple of years.

The Astros now have four wins in a row, the last two coming from late-inning, come-from-behind rallies. They finish up in Oakland today before returning to Houston tomorrow to face the Angels.

Houston continues to roll. Another come-from-behind victory today in St Pete.

Most wins in the AL at 13-6 and the second-best percentage (.684, behind Baltimore).
