Astros obviously have to win. America and the world are on Houston side.

Having grown up in Baltimore as an Orioles fan it follows that any team who beats the Yankees is a fine team indeed.

Great game 7 for the Astros, so glad to see the Yankees lose.

That was awesome! I really thought this last game without Verlander would go a lot tougher for them than last nights game. The Astros certainly play well at home, but Houston, we have a problem. The series starts in LA and 4 games are in LA and only 3 games at home. They gotta win one on the road, and I wish them all the luck in the world. I think the intense glare from the orange uniforms will confuse the Dodgers and give them a chance.

After what the city of Houston has been thru this summer with Harvey, winning this series would really help take the edge off. I would much prefer Houston to be the first Texas team to win a WS. IMO, the Rangers are still a little smelly from the Cardinals humiliation back in 2011, and from the 15 million bucks a former president was able to scam from an insider trading deal, when the Rangers were sold later in the 90's. He never got the Martha Stewart treatment because his SEC buddies let him off the hook. Not wanting to get political in the baseball forum, just sayin' why it would please me to see the Astros do something the Rangers could not do.

Good luck Houston, I would never buy a car from you guys, but I like your baseball, lol.

Re the bolded....I don't dislike the Yankees as much as I when George was alive, nor as much as when they essentially stood as a 'blockade' re the A's getting to the World Series, but I agree with you .

I live a little over 30 miles from Minute Maid park, and about 225 miles from Globe Life Park in the DFW metro/Arlington. Most of those 225 miles are 75 MPH limit freeway miles. I could do a day trip for a weekend day game, but I've never done it. I've seen a couple of games there under other circumstances. I've seen a game at every park in the majors, and I don't like the sight lines at Globe Life Park in Arlington. Even though it was built in the 90s, a new ballpark will be built within the same complex, to be completed in 2020. I'll definitely patronize the new ballpark at least once .
