Correa took a foul ball off the foot yesterday and it probably feels worse today than it did at first. Sit him until he's 100 percent. No need to play hurt in April and draw out chronic injuries all season.

Even when he's struggling, this is why I love having Marwin Gonzalez on the team - he's primarily a shortstop so he's insurance in case of losing Correa in the lineup, but plays every non-battery position.

Last year he walked a lot more (49 BB vs. 77 BB from 2012-2016) and cut down on strikeouts. He needs to find that patience again, because a utilityman who can carry a .907 OPS over 500+ ABs is the kind of player who makes you a champion.

Here's a very emotional moment for tonight's ceremonial first pitch at MMP. Outgoing first base coach Rich Dauer threw it tonight. And the Astros' game just happened to be against a team that Rich played for for so many years, the Baltimore Orioles. We'll miss you, Rich!

Guess Correa's foot is just fine now. Three RBIs so far tonight. Inside-the-park HR for two plus a sac fly to the warning track on a ball that looked like it glanced off his bat.

Default Reddick's A Ric Flair Fan --- Just Saying....

Josh Reddick walloped a grand slam in the 7th on Ring Day. Fans were chanting, "Wooooooo......", afterward.

Astros are now 6-1. Best record in baseball, and they have the Padres coming to town this weekend.

Josh Reddick is a career .265 BA/.764 OPS lifetime hitter overall. At Minute Maid Park, both as an Astro and visitor, he's .310 BA/.870 OPS.

He's .256 BA/.761 OPS in Oakland, the only park where he's played more games. Houston brings out the best in him.

Kuechel has not been good this year. He’s been mediocre since he won the Cy Young in ‘15. McCullers looked awful today. The other starters have been magnificent.

Astros are home this weekend against the Rangers. Gurriel is back, and the first pitch he sees gets hit for a single.

And before that, George Springer strikes again, and the first pitch he sees gets a ride for another leadoff homer.

He's not been bad, just not good, not the way you'd want to be in the final year of a contract.
