Well, my Minute Maid winning streak ended last Tuesday. They lost that game and also the one I saw Friday night. So, now, my Minute Maid losing streak is at two games. On the plus side, the Astros have won the rest of my time in town (a six-day trip).

Now, the Astros' attention turns to Toronto, who comes into MMP for three. Houston is tied for the AL's second-best record (52-27).

Astros did well in the All-Star selections, although I would have liked to see Charlie Morton get some love.

Yeah, Morton's had a good enough first half to qualify. Now, the Astros need to seriously look at trying to keep him a little longer, as long as he's doing this well.

Astros are rolling!

^^^ He just needs to cool it and get himself together. The way the Astros' pen is going, however, don't be surprised to see one or two acquisitions coming in before the trade deadline. And they lost another game at the hands of the relievers today.

Congrats to Bregman and Springer for their back to back jacks in the Top of the 10th to seal the All Star Game victory for the AL, and congrats to Bregman for being named MVP .

(And Altuve got his first All Star hit as well )

The weekend series can be forgotten, and all we can do is go forward. On the positive side, Houston wins the Silver Boot series, 12 games to 7.

In the meantime, we need Altuve back.

And we're not far from getting Correa back. Possibly this weekend.
