I went to bed with the Astros trailing 3-2. Missed all the fun.

Astros sweep the first place Mariners! This team is never out of a game. Sent a powerful message to the rest of the AL.

More broom action, indeed. Now it's on to Oakland. After that slow start earlier in the year, the 'Stros just needed to get hot.

Ten wins in a row now for Houston, and it continues in Oakland. George Springer now has 26 leadoff home runs, second in Astros history to Craig Biggio.

By the way, great stuff here as Collin McHugh made an incredible dodge to get out of the way of a line drive at the Coliseum. Check this out.

Astros need to stop this losing streak. Time to get back up.

I keep seeing that Kuechel might be open to coming back to the Astros. Should they re-sign him and maybe put Peacock back in the pen?

ETA: What should be done with Stassi? Seems like better options are out there for backup catcher, maybe from the minor leagues?

Astros are in Monterrey, MX and continuing their mastery of the Angels. They've scored in every inning in tonight's game (as of the 6th).

Houston comes home for some home cooking, and it was off to a great start last night, 6-4 over the Kansas City Royals. Springer with yet another leadoff home run, the 27th of his career.

Astros sweep the Rangers for a four-game series at Minute Maid (and that's the first time that's actually happened, believe it or not). They spanked 'em today, 15-5. Springer went 5-for-5 with yet another leadoff homer.

Looking good. Second-best percentage in baseball, and first in wins (26).

While some incumbent Astros players are spending time on the injured list (aka The Disabled List, as it should still be called), a couple of call-ups are making an immediate impact on the team. Here are two names to remember: Jack Mayfield and Garrett Stubbs. Both had sensational major league debuts in the last three days.
