The only players of any consequence on my list were Cap Anson and Marquis Grissom. Of the 35 players listed, representing 92 seasons played, only two were All Star seasons, both by Grissom.

Players born on March 4 - Baseball-Reference.com

March 4 (what a terrible day for birthday's....you'll see why in a minute):

C: Clyde McCulough
1b: Brian Hunter
2b: Sam Perlazzo
3b: Jack Hannahan
ss: Cass Michaels
OF: Red Murray
OF: Bruce Aven
OF: Tom Grieve
PH/DH: Tom Lampkin
pitcher: Dazzy Vance (only HOF)
pitcher: Cory Luebke
pitcher: Lefty O'Doul
pitcher: Jeff Pfeffer
pitcher: Jack Fisher
RP: Sergio Romo

1 hall of famer and a total of 5 All star apperances (2 each from McCoulough and Michaels, 1 from O'doul). Pretty pathetic group when Bruce Aven is in a starting outfielder (and Hiram Bocachica is my 4th OF).

What do Rickey Henderson, Manny Trillo, Nellie Fox, Joe McCarthy and Jesus H. Christ all have in common?

December 25th birthdays...well, except for J.H. Christ, no one knows when he was actually born.

July 4th is the birthday of the United States of America. It also spawned George Steinbrenner, Vinny Castilla, Ed Armbrister, Hal Lanier, Dan Larson and Chuck Tanner.

Of note

Brad Lidge - As an advid Phils fan and he throwing the pitch that is my most amazing personal moment as a Phils fan I guess it is kind of neat, especially since I was lucky enough to be there forboth parts of game 5

^ You've also got Jerry Koosman and Jerry Manuel. Not a bad haul, overall.
