NL bats around in the top of the first, 5-0.

All three Giants did well, Cabrera singled and scored, Posey walked and scored, and the Panda smacked a bases loaded triple, later also scoring.

Now Cain takes the mound for the NL with a big head start toward being the winning pitcher.

From what I've seen, I should be playing right field for the American league, yeah Bautista made one nice play but other than that he stinks in the field, Braun just hit a triple and so did Sandoval.

NL doing a good job, they were already into the AL bullpen by the second inning.

When was the last All Star game where an actual relief pitcher, as opposed to a starter, appeared before the sixth inning?

Joe Nathan of the Rangers pitched the second inning for the AL tonight.

With the score so one sided, 8-0 in the 4th, we may get a chance to see some of the bench players get a shot.

It was Posey's clever pitch calling and steadying influence which saw Kershaw through.

If the Giants wind up in the World series this year, they will have earned the home field advantage.
Posey caught five shutout innings, walked and scored a run. The Panda and The Melkman combined to go three for five with a homerun, a triple, five RBI and three runs scored. Cain pitched two shutout innings, yielding only an infield single. He stands to be the winner unless the the NL pitchers fall completely apart these last three innings.

Funny, I saw it as Kershaw pitching his way out of a jam caused by Posey's poor pitch selection and framing.

It's ridiculous that home field advantage comes down to ONE GAME and can ultimately be impacted by the mistakes/ failures of one or two players. Why can't MLB just accept the all star game as an exhibition game and nothing more? Home field advantage in the world series should come down to which team participating has the better record.
