Wow! There are still a few baseball fans out there. Ever since the Monfords and O Dowd starting to trade away the core of the team to line their pockets or whatever- the Rockies used to sell out the park. Heck, they used to sell out Mile High Stadium in the beginning! That's about 75 to 77 thousand people!
We owe thanks to the Giants. They came down the stretch and helped the Rockies surpass the Dodgers and get even with the Padres. I'd hate to see the Rockies go up against the Cubs for just that reason. The Cubs need to get into this thing and win it themselves. I was rooting for BASTIN once they got to like two wins in a row against the Yanks.
Hey, come to think of it! Remember when the Red Sockies came back from an 0-3 deficit to beat the Yanks? How could you not? This is the most incredible thing that's happened in baseball since that, so the mere fact of that should drive the Rockies to a win, right?
Attention TV network execs! The purist baseball fan could care less about TV ratings. The Rockies are playing with pride, confidence, and no fear. Their payroll is only a third less than the hoity toity teams in baseball. And this club plays like a T-E-A-M.Whether it will be Cleveland or Boston, this will be ONE GREAT SERIES. GO ROCKIES!!!!!!!
