The Rockies have now lost 12 of 15 to the Dodgers, those are not the stats of a championship team. They might win the Wild Card...but it'll be all over for them rather swiftly come playoff time.
I'm a Todd Helton fan. Heckuva first basemen, even though his numbers have slid a little since his career year.
And who would've thought...he used to start as QB over Peyton Manning at Tennessee. What an athlete!
Actually, Helton was the Vols quarterback-to-be until they signed Manning. That's when he decided to play baseball. Early in his career I fantasized about him someday playing in Yankee pinstripes, but it wasn't meant to be. And playing in a lesser media market may prevent him from making the HOF. Another 4 years would put him reasonably close to 3,000 hits. And how many lifetime .328 hitters are there?
The Phillies better hope they don't get the Rockies again!
Karma been very good to Pennsylvania last year. Enough is enough.
Go Rockies! 9-1! Two back of the Dodgers again!
