You will see a dramatic and disappointing dropoff in Cruz's power numbers this year, even if he is still on the PED's. And if King Felix cannot duplicate his 2014 performance you may struggle to equal last year's 87 wins.

The AL West is significantly weaker this year than last year

A's just had a firesale
Angels offense is starting to sputter, and Richards is coming off a major injury
Rangers bullpen is still a dumpster fire, and full of aging, injured players
Astros might be better
Mariners will most likely win the AL West.

That is what I've heard. I've heard that there is a possibility of the M's making the playoffs this year.

Do you still think the M's will win the West and make the playoffs? I believe that they have the talent but not the right manager. How many more games does he have to see Rodney blow before he moves in the new kid-saver and puts Rodney on waivers? I mean a closer with an era over 7!! This team is on the verge of a disaster last place season finish unless some serious changes are made.

I hope they do. So far, this has been a depressing season. I figured last year's season would be an indication for this year. Maybe it's time to get rid of some players.

Right now, the M's are .448. They aren't the Oakland A's right now, but it isn't pretty. I'm hoping that the M's pull this off.

Looks like things are looking up for the M's. They're in first place.

Yep... a nice rebound from that 2-6 start. 19-7 since then. It's still only May but I like their chances this year.

I'm a displaced Braves fan (and secondary Mariners fan) living in Seattle metro... been a fan since the days of Dale Murphy. I first attended games at Fulton County Stadium in the early 80's...

I'm glad the M's 1995 run kept the team in Seattle and led to the building of Safeco Field (an incredible ballpark BTW) but nobody was beating the 1995 Braves. They won 90 games in a 144 game season... Cleveland won 100... and beat Seattle 4-2.

Smoltz, Maddux, Glavine shut down the Indians lineup 4-2 after sweeping the Reds 4-0 and taking out WC COL 3-1. An 11-3 playoff run... Maddux was just amazing that season. 19-2 with a 1.63 ERA after posting a 1.56 ERA the year before.

It's just a shame they didn't win more on that run... the epic collapse in '96 still stings... LOL
