Did I already make one of these? I couldn't find it.
Anyways, seems like enough guys are getting caught these days that making a new thread for each one would be ridiculous.
Grandal was a rookie catcher with the Padres last season. He came over the Matt Latos trade. He had an excellent 2012 season hitting .394/.469 which was 44% better than the average MLB hitter. Adding in his defense and base running he was worth 2.6 wins as measured by fWAR.
The Padres will miss his services for the first third of next season.

After his suspension I wonder what his offensive production will be? Surely his power numbers will be down but will he continue to hit for a high average. Did he just start juicing in San Diego after the trade or has he had inflated numbers all the way up through the minors. I'm just glad the Reds got rid of him before his trade value took a beating.
The Detroit Tigers say minor league right-hander Cesar Carrillo has been suspended 100 games for violating baseball's minor league drug prevention and treatment program.
