True that. Looked great. Kid has good stuff, but just hasn't put it all together yet. This year he has been steady though.

Of course, the next time out, he could get shelled.

Nice seeing it happen against a team like the easy-to-loath Giants.

Crazy that he has had the first of 2013 and the last of 2012. And it's Homer Bailey. Who knew?

Homer has a plethora of potential, but has matured very slowly and is a little inconsistent at times. When he's on, no one can hit him (obviously). When he's off, it gets bad. Though he's been fairly consistent this year, giving 11 quality starts out of 17 games. I'll take that over his previous years.

He's got one of the better fastballs in MLB and actually increases his velocity by about 4-5mph as the game goes on. Usually he starts throwing them at 92-94 then by the 7th and on, they're 95-97.

He never listened to anyone when he was starting out. He thought he didn't need to learn anything since he was such a hot commodity coming out of high school. After 4 subpar seasons, he started to get it together and has been pretty decent in the last 2 seasons. He still needs to improve to warrant his draft position, however, he has matured a bit and actually listens. Kid still has plenty of upside and is young even though he's been in the majors for almost 7 years.
