There will be a one-game tiebreaker for the AL East pennant. If it happens it will be done in Baltimore. I'm hoping the Orioles make it.

Lol.

Potentially three must win games against three different teams in 3 days?

Wild...

In the NL Washington and Cincinnati are now tied with identical record. If they both win or both lose the final game, Washington will get the top seed and home field advantage, on the basis of a 5-2 head-to-head record on the season.

most of the scenarios tonight favor the Yankees. If the Yankees win, they're division champs and it doesn't matter if the O's win. If the Yankees lose and the O's lose, Yankees are division champs. If the Yankees lose and the O's win, they play the one game to decide who will be division champs.

Yes, and since the rangers lost last night, the Yanks can get best record and thereby home field-advantage with either a win of their own or an Orioles loss.

Well, one thing seems pretty certain: Baltimore is not going to crumble at the feet of the (formerly) Mighty Yankees.

if I were the Red Sox, I'd let the Yankees win as revenge for Baltimore for booting them out of the playoffs last year

That's actually the consensus of most red sox fans (from what I read on red sox message boards)

Boston just totally quit in the final games this year. Quit like dogs, used a 'built in excuse' to not have to work as hard. Gutless.
