Yankees/Orioles winner will have 5 consecutive games. Most playoff teams only carry 4 starters.

Interesting to see how this'll be dealt with.

October 7: Hammel 112 pitches, Sabatiha 120
October 8: Chen 112 pitches, Pettite 98

October 10: Gonzalez 99 pitches, Kuroda 105
October 11: Saunders 99 pitches, Hughes 95
October 12: Hammels will start for the Orioles and Sabathia will start for the Yankees
October 13: Chen or Pettite on 4 days' rest
October 14: Gonzalez or Kuroda on 3 days rest? Yanks could call up Nova, but then they'd have 2 starters on the roster only pitching 1 of 7 games. Yanks could start Phelps but he threw 27 pitches tonight and wouldn't be available in relief the rest of the series. Orioles could add Arrieta, Tillman or Steve Johnson to the roster.

This could give the Tigers a distinct advantage in the series.

No different than getting swept at home. It happens. First time all year they got swept at home. Just bad timing. Choke job? Sure, game 3 was. Reds play clean baseball in that one game they sweep. Pathetic? No. A little harsh. Perhaps Dusty's managing job was pathetic but the team's effort wasn't.

Teixera with his third steal of the season. Ibanez with an RBI. Finally some offense.

Someone needs to be fired after having 3 chances to go to the 2nd round and lose all 3 games.

Wow, the crowd is starting to turn on Gio. Walked in two batters and bases were loaded.

I can't believe Molina swung at the pitch, considering how many balls Gio was throwing. Now its a ball game again.

6-3 Nats.
