Dodgers hired Gerry Hunsicker as senior advisor, baseball operations
This is excellent news.

Hunsicker was the Rays' VP of baseball operations since 2005. The Rays are one of the most forward thinking organizations in baseball.

This can only be a good thing for LA.

He's moving from an organization dedicated to using advanced methodology to identify bargain value to one which has made a rather profound and public demonstration that money is no object. No doubt LA lured him to the west coast with a bigger salary offer.

He did a good job as the Astros GM during the steroid age, Houston was always winning or at least being a competitive team under his leadership, they only had one sub .500 year
