One of the things that really impressed me was the Giants' defense. Their SS (Crawford I believe) is one heck of a player. He can turn a double play and has really good hands. I think this world series just epitomized the fact that you win in baseball if you have a group of guys that can pitch, play defense, and produce timely hitting AND not just rely on the long ball. I admit the Yankees were a home run hitting team but you will live and die with the long ball. Players like Scutaro and Posey know how to put a good at-bat together and work their way on base. Really impressed by the level of play from the Giants. They deserve it

I'm going to mosey over to the Detroit forum - I don't expect to find much enthusiasm there.

Last post in the World Series thread for the Tigers in the Detroit forum was at 10:25 this morning.

I chose to not add to their collective unhappiness.

You appear to be confusing the Giants-Tigers contest with the chicken-filihok contest.

The Giants won their contest but this does not validate the cliches you employed to argue with filihok's logical, factual presentations.

LOL@ Taco Bell being the ad in Detroit for the final out..

Sure they have a lot of illeal Mexicans living there - but Taco Bell isn't exactly authentic Mexican food.
