I'm not much for watching sports...would rather be doing something than watching other do so.

I do make an exception for women's beach volleyball though.

The excitement is in the possibility that either they won't catch a fish - or that the fish that they do catch will be so big that it will swamp the boat.

My favorite sports are college football, politics, marathon running, and modern pentathlon.

No sport puts me to sleep.

Even soccer is rather interesting - it is like a really long game of chess where the pieces aren't limited to moving on certain squares or have to relocate in a particular manner - and it involves a ball.

NASCAR is much the same - it is chess on wheels at 200 mph - unless they are racing at Martinsville or Bristol.

I'm a HUGE baseball fan..grew up watching. My brother is a semi pro player, Father was the president of the local Babe Ruth little league for a number of years and I follow my favorite teams (Giants and Angels!) plus I also catch as many college games and semi pro games as I can.

I also try to play on co-ed summer league softball teams and get out there and play with my brothers semi pro team when I can. My knees and hips aren't that great so I can't last long, but I try

So, I suppose when you grow up around it and your entire family and most of your friends are into it (and you have a weird 'celebrity' crush on Brian Wilson...) it becomes really exciting.

As for football, soccer etc....no thanks, I can't see how anyone can watch that. So, it really comes down to personal preference.

LOL - its like a giant game of shuffleboard on ice - they want to put the "stone" in the circle.

Sweeping the ice apparently makes the ice more conducive to "placing" the stone where the team wants it to go.

It's entertaining just to watch grown men and women win gold medals for manipulating brooms.
