It's opening day for baseball Monday -- the start of the season when many fans flock to their favorite stadium. But a day at the ballpark can get pricey, especially if you include the cost of food and drink to get through nine innings.

Two hotdogs and a beer at Target Field or four hotdogs and two beers at Progressive Field. Decisions.

Not sure about prices at the baseball game, I hate that sport it's the most boring sport next to curling. Would rather watch ping pong.

Now that said, and since this is the basketball board HA, in Houston beers go about $7 and about $4 for hotdogs, $5.50 for a burger. Rockets games have Chinese food, Mexican food (tacos/fajitas not just nachos) and "upper scale" burgers for a bit more $$$

you have me confused, what do you mean, this is a basketball board, and if you really don't like baseball I have to wonder why you are posting and reading the thread?

I do agree it is boring on TV, but if you are at the game it is anything but boring or at least to me, but that isn't what this thread is about. It is about the cost of hot dogs etc. at the various baseball parks. As far as I am concerned they are all out of sight. Our son took our grandson and a little friend to a spring training game: what it cost him including parking and food was ridiculous.

Wow, dogs are only $1 in Cincinnati? Unbelievable for a pro sport!

You can get $1 dogs at PNC as well, at the Buccaroos stand inside the gate on General Robinson (where the Negro League statues are). It's a lower-priced stand for feeding kids.

The thing that makes me chuckle at PNC is that in most of the concourse areas the light beer swill is priced so near to the craft stuff as to make it a no-brainer to upgrade.
