Yankees 3 @ Jays 8

Needed this one badly. Fine start by Stroman, going eight.

Need tomorrow's just about as much.

Yankees 6 @ Jays 7

Jays blew a 6-0 lead and a W for Mark Buehrle but managed a walk-off in the 9th when the Yanks threw away a Melky Cabrera bunt, allowing Jose Reyes to score from 3rd.

A feel-good win and a chance for a revenge sweep tomorrow.

Hutchison struggled. Yanks deserved it. Have to settle for 2 out of 3.

White Sox 0 @ Jays 7

Jays rode a strong J.A. Happ start, some timely hits and a couple of White Sox errors for a 7-0 win.

Sox are scuffling and could be what the doctor ordered for a thin Jays squad. Lawrie will miss at least 3 weeks and Bautista is still day-to-day. Kawasaki's presence is a lift for the whole team as well. I'm hoping the Jays take 3/4 in this series.

White Sox 5 @ Jays 4

9th inning rally falls short. Tough one.

White Sox 4 @ Jays 3

Bullpen couldn't hold a 2-0 lead with 2 out in the 7th and ruined a fine start by Stroman.

Need tomorrow's game to salvage a split.

White Sox 4 @ Jays 0

I had the right call on this series. Just the wrong team.

I'm afeered it just might get worse before better with Milwaukee in for 2 followed by a west coast trip.

I somehow doubt they'll still be in 1st when they get back.

(But one can hope.)

Brewers 1 @ Jays 4

Strong start by Hutchison and good relief work by Loup, McGowan and Janssen. Solo dingers from Bautista (at DH, still can't run) and Rasmus.

A good Canada D'eh result.

Brewers 4 @ Jays 7

Double-E sent fans home happy with a walk-off 3-run homer to break a 4-4 tie.

Will make for a happy plane ride out west where they have a 4-game date with Oakland, followed by 3 in LA and then 3 in Tampa. I'll be happy with a split of the 10 games.

Could you be sure and make it four losses to the A's, three wins over LA and two wins over Tampa? Actually you can sweep the Rays if you like and make it a 6-4 road trip.
