Jays 0 @ M's 2

Somebody stocked the Mariners' pitching staff with Cy Young clones.

Let's hope Chicago's are closer to human.

Hemlock, Jays fans are a loyal lot. Most were probably from BC but some came from Alberta and Saskatchewan too. You've got a fun team to watch. They sure don't need to hit much.

Jays 5 @ White Sox 11

Jays 6 @ W. Sox 3

Timely hits and good pitching will win the occasional ball game.

Apparently.

Jays 1 @ Brewers 6

That gurgling sound?

The Jays post-season hopes getting flushed.

I'll try to get excited about playing spoiler.

Jays 9 @ Brewers 5

Jays rode dingers from Bautista and Rasmus and some good bullpen work to salvage win #2 on this 8-game tripfromhell.

Off day tomorrow and then a home date with the resurgent Rays.

Hope the lads like home cooking better than room service.

Rays 8 @ Jays 0

Score sums it up. Jays weren't in it.

Rays 4 @ Jays 5

Casey Janssen blew another save but the Jays parlayed a 10th-inning Colby Rasmus bunt single into a walk-off win. Jose Reyes cashed him in, continuing his torrid August wherein he's batting nearly .400.

Too bad the rest of the team (aside from the Melk Man) has been relatively cool at the plate.

Of note, Rays manager Joe Madden played the game under protest, alleging a poor decision by the on-field ump regarding calling for a review. It's complicated, read the game summary somewhere if you want details, but it appears to me that Madden has a case. If so, the game may have to be replayed from the point of protest, with the Jays up 2-1 early.

Rays 2 @ Jays 1

Rays tried to give it away but the Jays - fine hosts that they are - refused.

They choked, plain and simple.
