Knew they'd come back strong. 11-8 win is impressive. Keep the lumber in hand and bat the way through Game 4 and 5. Jays are stronger at home. So much excitement between the election and the game. Good day for Canada.

16-2

We got beat up, down, sideways and back n' forth in our own yard.

By a better team.

Can't do anything but tip my cap to the Royals and hope we have a better start from Marco tomorrow than R. A. managed today.

The 7th, 8th & 9th inning was a complete disaster. Really, I would've taken Dickey out after the Rios homer. Yes, it's the second inning, but your down 2-1 in the series and now down 5-0 in the game. Sure, the offense was probably going to score some runs off Young (who outside of the 3rd inning they made Chris Young look like Cy Young) but you can't afford to stick with a pitcher who doesn't have it, in a game you almost have to win just to get some innings, and after the Rios homer Dickey had given up 5 runs & 4 hits to the 9 batters he had faced. In June?? Absolutely leave him in! On October 20 in game 4 of the ALCS you trail 2-1 he has to be out of the game! Luckily Hendricks got the pick off to minimize the damage.
I would've tried to steal 1 more inning (or maybe even a batter or 2) out of Hendricks because he had been dealing, and if he puts 1 or 2 on then bring in Hawkins/Lowe but really can't fault Gibbons there. Hendricks did more then he asked: got out of trouble, kept the Royals off the board, and gave his team the chance to win and tie it up, unfortunately $#!t hit the fan when he departed. Estrada won the game 3 potential elimination in Texas, so hope he has another good one in store. Royals have to go back to KC after the game anyways, Jays may as well join them on the flight!

14-2??? Something went terribly wrong with the Jays. It's a tough one to take. Hope they manage to regroup for Game 5 before heading to Kansas City. Some say Royals is a better team, but I still believe the Jays can make it if they can keep it together.

I hate baseball and I hate Marty McFly.

It's gonna be the Royals vs the Mets and I hope they both lose.

This isn't the first time apparently that the Jays have made Young look like a Cy Young winner. The Blue Jays bullpen has been stretched incredibly thin. No way that Hawkins should've been out for that 7th inning.

While the score ended up being 14-2 and people talk about the later innings.....

The real problem is giving up 5 runs in the first two innings.

You spot a team 4-5 runs early in a game you're typically hosed and whatever happens later is meaningless.

Jays averaged 5.5 runs per game to lead the majors so they can put runs up but against a quality team that's still a really steep hill to climb.

Oh well, at least the Cubs are going down in flames.
