Twins 6 @ Jays 9

Josh Donaldson hit a hat trick of homers as the Jays completed the sweep, handing the Twins their 10th straight loss.

Now, as willg noted above, the Jays will be facing a lot of their brethren in the East, starting tonight with 3 in Baltimore.

It's crunch time, boys and girls. May the best team win.

Jays 5 @ O's 1

Marco Estrada was sharp, going 7 innings of 4-hit, 1-run ball while Donaldson and Bautista went deep in support as the Jays took the first of 3 in Camden Yards.

The loss dropped the O's 4 games back of Toronto. Boston's win kept them 2 behind.

JA Happ will try for win #18 tonight against Ubaldo Jiminez.

Jays 3 @ O's 5

Matt Wieters hit a 2-run dinger in the 8th off Jason Grilli to break a tie and send O's fans home happy.

Aaron Sanchez goes in the rubber match tonight against Yovani Gallardo.

Jays 5 @ O's 3

Aaron Sanchez (13-2) tossed 6 innings and allowed only an unearned run in his return from 10 days of R&R in Florida. Jose Bautista - on the 1st pitch of the game - homered, as did Russ Martin and Michael Saunders.

Jonathan Schoop hit a 2-run shot off closer Roberto Osuna but that's as close as the O's got.

Jays are off today before a weekend series in Tampa.

Jays 3 @ Rays 8

Alex Cobb made his first start in two years and after a rough 1st inning, settled in and took the starch out of the Jays bats for the next 4. The Tampa bullpen did the rest.

Marcus Stroman gave up 4 runs in six innings and took the loss.

Tonight it'll be Marco Estrada vs Blake Snell.

Missed most of this one. Tampa remains Death Valley for the Jays.

Recap here.

Jays 5 @ Rays 3

Russell Martin hit a 2-run homer in the 8th to break a tie and salvage a game in the series. Toronto's bullpen did a stellar job, allowing only 2 hits in 6 2/3rds scoreless innings. Starter JA Happ struggled and was pulled in the 3rd, down 3-1.

Today it's on to the Bronx for three, with R.A. Dickey starting the opener against Masahiro Tanaka.

Jays 3 @ Yankees 5

Jacoby Ellsbury had a home run and 3 RBIs to lead the Yanks over the Jays. Tanaka out-pitched Dickey and that was about it.

Jays 6 @ Yankees 7

A wild and crazy game that ended with a bases-loaded, ice-cream cone catch against the wall by Brett Gardner to crush a Toronto comeback.

I don't have the heart to re-live it. You can read about it here.

Marcus Stroman will try to salvage the final game of the series tonight.

Jays 0 @ Yankees 2

Collars are getting tight in Blue Jay land as they get swept by the Yankees and lose 1st place to the Red Sox.

Bryan Mitchell got his first big league win, with help from Luis Severino and Tyler Clippard. Jays bats remain semi-comatose, mustering only 5 hits.

Off day today and then a BIG weekend series with Boston.
