The September Swoon continues. The bats better find some Viagra because the Jays are going to the plate with noodles.

Good series by the Rays taking the last two in a three game series against the Jays in Toronto. Toronto will go to Anaheim in a four game series against the Angels. The first three pitchers are as followed: JA Happ, R.A. Dickey, and Francisco Liriano. The fourth pitcher I don't know because I've never followed him but again the first three starters in a four game series in Anaheim I know because Dickey is currently the only active knuckleball pitcher that I know of. I guess we will see how Toronto does against the Angels.

Jays 7 @ Angels 2

Josh Donaldson returned to the lineup as the DH, went 3-3 and Russ Martin hit a 3-run dinger to earn J A Happ his 19th win (19-4).

I figure the Jays need to take at least 5 of the 7 on this trip and at least they got off to a good start. Tonight's game features R.A. Dickey, who hasn't started in over two weeks, against noted Jays killer Jared Weaver. Weaver has a career 11-2 record against Toronto and will be gunning for career win #150.

Fairly significant injuries have hobbled him somewhat this year. He's missed 40-some games in two different stints on the DL. I've seen some signs this past few games that his bat is coming around. He's barreling some balls again that he was popping up.

Bad timing for him to have an off year though, as free agency looms this off season.

Not a baseball fan but huge Leafs fan. If you haven't seen this 'kid' on youtube you may want to check him out after each game. He's actually enjoyable to watch.

Jays 5 @ Angels 0

R.A. Dickey pitched scoreless ball into the 6th for his 10th win of the season, supported by home runs from Tulowitzki and Encarnacion. EE's was his 40th of the season.

It's only two in a row but it's the first two in a row this month. Francisco Lariano will try to make it three tonight.

Yankees, Tigers, & Mariners all lost as well, so at least they gained an extra game on them in the Wildcard race. Of course at this point of the year I'd rather have the Yankees WIN and beat the Red Sox so the Jays can make up the ground in the division. Hopefully the Yankes can get the next 2 in Boston.

Jays 1 @ Angels 6

Didn't see much of this one and it's just as well.

Recap here.
