Yankees are pretty much out of it unless a miracle happens, so Im just rooting for Blue Jays or the Orioles to sneak into the no. 1 spot ahead of the Red Sox. Anyone but the Sox, please

I'd hate to say it but with the Yankees blowing TWO 5-2 6th inning leads or later as well as a 4-0 5th inning lead to get swept by Red Sox and the Red Sox and Orioles playing 4 times the Jays should be focusing on the Wildcard. I think the division is out of reach. These last 2 games in Anaheim were beyond pathetic!

Jays 0 @ Angels 4

4 hits isn't going to get it done.

1/17 with RISP the past two games isn't going to get it done.

At least the O's and Sox will be facing off for 4 games. But the Jays almost need to sweep the Mariners to get some traction going.

And somehow, I don't think that's gonna happen.

Great outing by Estrada last night! No hitter into the 7th inning. Too bad Grilli had to give us all a heart attack in the 8th inning by walking the bases loaded and sending up Cano as the go ahead run, but luckily Osuna was able to retire him, and aside from the 2 run homer by Leonys Martin not withstanding pulled it off. Hopefully this is a start of a run.

I only lasted to the 7th inning. Getting too old for these West Coast games. Glad I missed the drama in the 8th and 9th.

Jays 10 @ Mariners 2

JA Happ became the league's 2nd 20 game winner (20-4) and the 6th in franchise history, joining Roy Halliday, Roger Clemens, Jack Morris, Pat Hentgen and David Wells.

Jays exploded for 8 runs in the 4th to overcome a 2-0 lead, helped by 2-run home runs from their Canadian Connection - Russ Martin and Michael Saunders - making them the first pair of Canuck teammates in MLB history to hit 20 or more dingers each. Josh Donaldson (35) and Edwin Encarnacion (42) also left the yard.

Toronto will go for the sweep this afternoon when Aaron Sanchez takes the hill against King Felix.

Jays 1 @ Mariners 2 (12)

A two base throwing error by Josh Donaldson led to game-winning sacrifice fly by Robinson Cano as the Mariners edged the Jays in extras to avoid a sweep.

Toronto returns home having won 4 of 7 on the trip. Not terrible but not exactly good. After an off day today, it's 4 at home with the Yankees.

Yankees 3 @ Jays 4

Jays rallied in the 9th to edge the Yanks, who had scored 2 in their own half of the inning to take a temporary lead.

Jays are finally stringing a few wins together but the Red Sox seem like they've forgotten how to lose.

Toronto goes for the sweep tonight when JA Happ takes the hill against a pitcher TBA.
