Aside from Sandy Koufax, Ethier was my favorite Dodger also. I hope he gets to stay with the Dodgers organization in some capacity.
BTW - Grandal's giant gold necklace...I bet that thing costs more than I make in a year.

Thoughts on Brian Dozier pick up?
His average is lower & looks like he k's about every 4.8 at bats. I would think he might get some better pitches to hit though with guys like Kemp, Machado, Turner around him in the line up.
He got GG last year too.

Like the Manny Machado trade, I don't really see what need this addresses. I feel like we're deep on offense. But, having too many good players isn't the worst problem to have.
Thought we'd get some relievers, but those are easier to get in August

I am beginning to think I am the only true Dodger fan posting here anymore. Look, they are getting closer everyday to winning the west. At least they should make the playoffs.

You're not the only Dodger fan. I've been a fan since 1962.

well let's keep our hopes up for them: they are just hanging in there this season. It seems like every other day they go from 1st to 3rd, then 2nd and then back to first. One of the first things I do each morning is check the weather and then check to see how our boys did the night before. Sounds like you have been a fan almost as long as I have. So we share 2 things. our love for the Dodgers and our love for the Hogs. Oh and our love for NWA.

5 games left. Rockies on a roll too. Dodgers could very likely have to win 4 out of the next 5 to win the division & that's no guarantee.
