I think Mattingly is a lousy manager. But, I'm not sure Maddon is the answer.

Maddon has never had anything close to a DH to work with and only had a real closer at his disposal for about half his time with the Rays. He's known for using 162 lineups in a 162 game season. That's on top of all the other ways he puts his own spin on traditional managerial moves.

I'm sorry, but compared to Joe Maddon, NL managers don't have to do a lot of managing.

Joc Pederson is looking good so far. Was starting to have my doubts about him based on the play time he had last season. But he's looking like he could be the real deal. Makes that Matt Kemp trade look like a good move.

The guy with the .321 OBA, Rollins, was the lead off hitter.

That division may be stronger than last year but given that this is the Giants' off year the Dodgers should win it without much trouble.

I think the Dodgers should take their chances with Guerrero if Rollins doesn't start hitting REAL soon. An old lead off guy batting a buck 78 isn't going to work for a potential championship team.

So last night MLB Network was showing the Dodgers-Giants game at Dodger Stadium. Great, I thought I get to watch a great game and hear the legendary Vin Scully.

But NO! They showed the Giants Broadcast and I had to listen to their horrible announcers. Unbelievable!

I have the MLB.TV package, and every night I try to catch at least a half inning of every teams broadcast crew, and I would definitely call the Giants crew far from "horrible." There are definitely some teams that are worse then others (I.e the Yankees & White Sox are at the bottom 5 of my list while the A's & Mets are in the top 5). Just my opinion, but I really like listening to the duo of Kuiper & Krukow, however it gets knocked down a notch when Jon Miller fills in on the TV for one of those 2. With that said, nobody compares to Mr. Vin Scully.
