Thank goodness, the allstar break is over. I got so desperate, i watched "keping up with the kardashians' one night. Wait, don't laugh. It's better than any of the survivor lreality shows, the people are more believable and more likeable. But now back to the second half.

The last two home runs off Bobby Parnell were hit by CHASE headLEY and CHASE utLEY. They came almost a year apart.

Tim Lincecum goes Monday night against the Reds, his chance to match the storied Johnny Vander Meer by remaining unhittable. Lincecum threw a whopping 148 pitches in the no hit outing, but due to the All Star break he has enjoyed eight days of rest since then.

It finally happened: MLB has suspended Ryan Braun for the rest of this season without pay.

So when is he going to turn in his MVP? I'm guessing the same time as ARod, Bonds, Sosa, etc.

Hahahahahah what an a-hole. Man he's a jerk and people apparently are surprised about this. He tested positive before and the carrier took the blame, now its his turn.

One of the more ridiculous pr releases I have seen...from Michael Weiner, head of the MLBPA:

Quote:
"I am deeply gratified to see Ryan taking this bold step," Weiner said in a statement. "It vindicates the rights of all players under the Joint Drug Program. It is good for the game that Ryan will return soon to continue his great work both on and off the field."
How much bs can you cram into three sentences?

"Bold step".....guy gets caught red handed, claims he is innocent but accepts punishment. How "bold" of Braun.

And how does any of this " ...vindicate the rights of all players under the Joint Drug Program." ? The right to be suspended?

Finally, why is Braun's return being hailed as "good for the game?" "Welcome Back Honored Cheater?"

Egads, it gets worse.

MLB's official statement on the matter:
Quote:
"We commend Ryan Braun for taking responsibility for his past actions. We all agree that it is in the best interests of the game to resolve this matter. When Ryan returns, we look forward to him making positive contributions to Major League Baseball, both on and off the field."
Ryan Braun is the Lance Armstrong of MLB - ESPN

The guy is getting run out of town on a rail for cheating and MLB "commends" him? Have they all forgotten that Braun lied to us, that he called into question the honesty and reputation of the tester who had custody of his sample?
