NL East snoozer..even the tight 3/4/5 race of a week ago seems defined now, with Miami 3rd, followed by Braves, then the Phils.

Best race left in NL is home field b/w LA & NY. LA up 2 in loss column, 2 games in hand.

Closet Mets fan here. I only come out when they are winning and I can watch on free TV.

Where did all these good young arms come from? And why does Cespedes keep changing teams? Is he hard to get along with, criminal background, wife beater? It seems like he know hows to hit.

I stopped watching when I move to no team NC and only recently started watching because I found some games on free TV thanks, Washington and Atlanta.

I hope they can win the WS, the best city in the country needs a WS winner that's not in the American league.

The good arms came via the draft and one of the worst trades in recent memory (Travis d'Arnaud & Noah Syndergaard in exchange for R.A. Dickey).

Cespedes kept changing teams because he had an opt out in his clause after this year, and unlike other free agents he couldn't be offered a qualifying offer, so the team that lost him after this season got no draft pick if he signed elsewhere, like a player with a qualifying offer does. He also had a 5 day window to negotiate with the team he ended 2015 with, that has subsequently been waved, but I think the other provisions are still there.

I would not deal with Alderson..he has gotten great stuff with bad hands. Wheeler for Beltran rental when NYM had no hope of resigning him? No other offer came close to ZW!
