The Cardinals lineup has been awful this whole series, and is the reason they won't be winning. Aside from Wainwright in game 1 (and he wasn't really that bad either, he got victimized by poor defense and a crappy offense), the starting pitching has kept them in all of the games.

Leaving 9 on through 7 is a rough start.

The Cards now have stranded 9. Loaded bases in 7th, got one run in. Not enough.

Red Sox won the World Series, 4 games to 2, and won the deciding game at home for the first time in 95 years.

Ortiz was intentionally walked 3 times tonight.

St Louis scored only 14 runs in 6 games, or 2.33 runs per game, not enough to beat Boston. Scoring 1, 4, 5, 2, 1, and 1 run in the six games. That's 3 games with only ONE run scored. NO ONE can beat Boston by scoring only one run per game. The two games the Cards won are the ones where there scored 4 and 5 runs, the other four games were losers.

I'll remove the sticky on this thread in a few days.....

On to next year....

Erin Andrews is ruining this with her incessant blabbering. Get this silly woman off the stage.

WTF is baseball doing anyway? The Red Sox should be in the clubhouse spraying champagne on each other. The trophy presentation belongs in the clubhouse. No one cares about these stupid questions Erin Andrews is asking.

Second question asked in the first post game interview....how does this win relate to the tragedy at the Marathon?
