The Milwaukee Brewers...okay put me down for Texas Rangers and Pittsburgh in the WS with Texas coming out on top.

Look at these odds for World Series 2014, I'm thinking of playing a couple of teams, the Rangers and Braves. Great odds

I'd love to pick the Rays but with Heath Bell as their closer no game will be safe. The Red Sox odds are way too low coming off the World Series hype. Clutch HBP's will only carry them so far. The Yankees odds are always skewed and this year is no exception. Their bullpen suffered more this off-season than any other team's in the history of the game. Losing Pettitte's 185 innings didn't help either. I see Detroit losing Cabrera to injuries this year rendering them mediocre as well.

I say the Angles will get their act together and will face the Dodgers (who will win 117+ games).

There is still no way to even set up odds until about a month from now. When Tanaka signs a lot of dominoes will fall and most of the other free agent pitchers will sign deals. that will give us a better perspective of what the true rosters for each team will be. How different of a team would Texas have been if we didn't figure in Darvish's numbers for last year?

Way too early to predict who will win the World Series. But I will go out on a limb and predict that it won't be the Astros.

This thread can wait at least until Spring Training, even though we're only four weeks away from pitchers and catchers reporting to camp. I'd like to read what the prognosticators and experts say first before drawing any conclusions about teams. And you know, sometimes you get at least one surprise per season.

It's too easy to just say Cardinals and Red Sox because you just never know with some clubs.

Yeah, but if you put a grand down on them now to win the WS the payoff will be 200 K. Well, actually there probably won't be any payoff, but if you are a risk taker....

I note that they have Toronto as a 20-1 shot, but Tampa Bay is 22-1. Last year the Rays won 92 games while the Jays won 74. Why would Toronto be rated a better shot than Tampa Bay?

Hundreds of millions of dollars have already been bet on the 2014 World Series so it most certainly is not too early to predict the winner....especially for free on an online forum for godssake. Pick a team for crying out loud. Handicapping a team's GM skills is just as important as their offense or defense.

The odds are listed for you and are a great guideline for who has the best shot. 100 to 1 longshots do come in though so every team has a chance.

(I listed Anaheim vs Los Angeles but didn't clarify, the Dodgers will win the 2014 World Series).

The Giants have the same odds to win the Series as the A's...I guess Huddy will win 55 games for them this year.
