Anyone remember this? I want to see this happen again, albeit fans will not be allowed on the field.

The very last of fans storming the field after such a victory. 19 years of frustration. It meant alot to the fans. For those who aren't Mariners fan(or for those who aren't old enough to remember), this was the meaning. The Mariners, from the very start, were basically the American League's whipping boy. They had 14 consecutive losing seasons, starting from their very first season. No other expansion team has that distinction. The M's are the only team that went through the 80s without a winning season. Until 1995 happened, there was no history of the M's even being in the playoffs. The 1994 strike basically did some damage to baseball. That same year, the 18-year old Kingdome was showing signs of falling apart(tile falling from the roof). Basically, alot of things were grim throughout the history of the franchise. And the ownership was threatening to move the team if a new stadium wasn't considered. When the M's made it to their very first playoff, it meant alot to the fans. The 1995 season basically saved the franchise.

Great to be winning but it's brought a lot of boorish fans to the park. The atmosphere has gone to the bad tbh. Oh well, better than losing!

Boorish fans perhaps, but the team is winning.
