It seems Cubs fans don't want to be lowered down to the Brewers Level, They rather be a rivalry with NY or LA.
Ah yes, we all know what an authoritative source Wikipedia is, and therefore anything said on Wikipedia is dispositive.

Do you even pay any attention to baseball? It has nothing to do with not wanting to be "lowered down." On the contrary, Brewers' fans need to be in a rivalry with the Cubs has everything to do with wanting to be "brought up," or a need to have anyone outside of Milwaukee notice or care about the Brewers at all.

Cubs fans have already stated several times in this thread who the major division rival is: the Cardinals. What rivalry there is between the Mets dates back to when the two teams were in the same division, thanks to fans with long memories. Cubs fans don't care one bit about the Dodgers. There is approximately ZERO rivalry between them.

Unless you live in Los Angeles and big fat Mexicans say "**** the Cubs" to you or "Cubs Suck"...then there might be some rivalry.

Ok-- HA HA. But, and there are a couple of them:

1. Good luck getting tickets Brewer fans who want to take advantage of this "promotion". Tickets go on sale Friday 2/20 and most everything is sold out by Saturday. Have fun working the phones.

2. Good luck getting to Wrigley for a 1:20 game leaving Milwaukee at 11 am. Typical cheesehead logic...lol. And, how are you supposed to get from Union station to Wrigley? You need to take a bus to the Red Line L. My gosh.....your better off driving!

Have fun with this and I'll be having fun driving to Wrigley North. Maybe Big Z can throw another no hitter there this year!

Show me some love!

Man, I wish the Northeast Corridor teams would run promotions like that for free Amtrak travel if you bought a ticket to a game.
