He kept us in suspense for all of five batters.

Heston's no hitter had been of the fluke variety. It wasn't one of those games where the hitters were being overpowered and looking helpless. There were numerous well hit balls, but all of them were of the "right at him" sort. Crawford's play in the 8th was the only difficult chance that was handled. The Baseball Gods were smiling on Heston that day.

Guess he fell out of favor with them on Sunday.

Right now, the slugging gods are in the Blue Jays corner. They are piling up some crazy crooked numbers, outscoring their opponents 88-40 during their 11-game streak.

What a difference 2 pitches make, on the cusp of a 12 game streak to a loss.

The Rangers take a game from the Dodgers, 4-1. Texas is 34-30, a tied-season-high four games over .500 again. They are just 2.5 games behind the division-leading Astros.

Since May 22, the Pirates are an MLB best 18-5, yet have gained exactly one game on the Cardinals - including half a game due to a Cards rainout on Sunday.

It's tough being the 4th best team in MLB when the best team in MLB is in your division.

We currently have a four way tie for the AL home run lead. Pujols, Teixeira, Trout and Cruz each have 18 dingers. Which among those four is most likely to win the title?

The greybeards are currently dominating the AL Triple Crown leaderboards. Miguel Cabrera (32) leads in ba, Teixeira (35) in RBI. Only Trout is under 30 among the home run leaders.

In the NL it is youth. The 27 year old Paul Goldschmidt leads in average, the 25 year old Giancarlo Stanton in homers and RBI.

I hate the Cardinals so much. And they seem to be the only team in baseball that is absolutely dominating, with all of the other division leaders being only a few games above .500.

They have been decimated with injuries too and they are STILL dominating baseball!

What is wrong with Robinson Cano this season? His slash line is .240/.281/.328 2 home runs, 19 RBI.

Is the home stadium which is suppressing his numbers?
Doesn't seem like it, he is hitting worse in road games in 2015. .229/.268/.305.

Is he having trouble seeing the ball at night?
Nope, in day games so far he has been terrorizing rival pitching to the tune of .125 /.227/.172

Is he battling back after a poor start?
The reverse, each month his stats have declined. He hit .253 in April, .250 in May and .203 so far in June.

What is especially weird about this flame out is that the evidence for it is unapparent in his advanced stats. His line drive percentage in 2015 has been 23.8%, better than his 20.3 career mark. His batting average on balls in play is .311, just slightly below his career mark of .322. His flyball and groundball rates are identical to his 2014 rates.

The one telling indicator is his home runs to flyballs rate. For his career it has been 13 home runs for every 100 flyballs. This season it is four per hundred.

Is he not eating enough Wheaties? Did he decide to quit 'roids? Is he hurt? Anyone have any insight?

I have no idea what the record is, but Francisco Cervelli has now caught 51 consecutive innings of scoreless baseball.
