That's because there's a 'rabbit' in the ball and homeruns for the league are WAAAY up.

I know the league doesn't want to be pitching-dominated, but I can't stand when they alter the ball.

And you know this......how? And to save you trouble in advance, unacceptable is: The ball went along way, therefore it was juiced.

Do you have anything other than a groundless conclusion? MLB has announced the alterations in the past, never tried to sneak it in clandestinely.

The numbers back it up.

That and ocular proof makes it quite evident.

As I thought, you have no evidence.

When you do, I shall examine it. Until you do, you have only a completely groundless opinion.

Was the ball also altered in '61 when Roger Maris hit an astounding 61 balls into the stands of MLB ballparks when he would never hit higher than 39 during any other year of his career?

Sometimes rare occurrences happen in baseball. That's part of the fun.

According to this, as of today there have been 1.02 home runs per game in 2016, and there were 1.01 per game in 2015. If they're juicing the ball, they're doing a pretty crappy job of it.

With regard to what the numbers actually show...offense is slightly down from last season.

2015
Runs per game per team..4.25
Home runs per game per team..1.01
BA .254 OBA .317 SLG .405

2016
Runs per game per team..4.19
Home runs per team per game 1.01
BA .247 OBA .317 SLG .400

What is up is pitcher inaccuracy. Last season there were 2.90 walks per team per game. In 2016 so far it has been 3.19 walks.

So, if the ball has been juiced, it must have been juiced on the outside with some slippery substance since pitchers are having control problems.

If the ball was juiced on the inside in order to enhance offense, it clearly isn't working.

Price & Kimbrel have been awful for Boston so far. I'm sure each will do fine at seasons end, but if the Red Sox miss the playoffs by a couple of games they can point to April and find out why.
