6 miles as the crow flies.

20 minutes for a weekend game, 40 minutes for a weekday game.

And now with the Andy Warhol bridge closed for the year, about 25 additional minutes to find parking.

I am also a Cleveland Indians fan which means that I live at least 10 hours from Progressive Field which also means that I am 642.3 miles from that stadium.

Google Maps has figured it's 2006 miles from my door to Comerica Park but 2007 to Ford Field. They are, most certainly, not a mile apart.

About 600 miles between my home base in Northeastern Pennsylvania and Comerica Park in Detroit.

As a point of explanation, I grew up in the early Sixties when my Dad's Phillies were in the doldrums, and it's a tradition among us not to root for the Yankees. But Tigers anchor radio station WJR broadcasted directionally to the southeast across lake Erie, so after sunset. the late Ernie Harwell's raspy voice was always easy to pick up.

So the Tigers nose out the Phils as my "first team" ... but just barely.

I grew up about 6 miles from Cleveland Municipal Stadium, which was replaced by Jacobs Field, which is now Progressive Field. Now I live almost 350 miles from Cleveland, but I am about 10 miles from an A.L. park where the Tribe visits a few times each year as well as...if I may dream a bit...two miles from an N.L. park where they could end up playing this October!
