Pete Rose is a pathetic figure and I wish Fox would have the class to keep him as far away as possible.
As for Rose and the HOF, No. Yes he was a fine player- I myself loved watching him and I have no allegiance to or hatred of the Reds.
But he smeared Baseball. He repeatedly broke one of the cardinal rules of the game- just how much we may never know. And then he proceeded to lie about it over and over again.
Rule breaking, Untreated addictions, and Dishonesty: Those do not equate one with the Baseball Hall of Fame.
Rather, they equate one with Dishonor and Disgust. That's Rose's epitaph and legacy.
