I'm planning a trip to Phoenix to watch as many games as possible. There's nothing better than baseball, good food/beer, and nice weather!

We usually did go down to Viera in odd-numbered years -- Cocoa Beach early on and then down to Melbourne. It's always been just a wonderful thing to do. We've always planned it out on our own rather than signing onto some club package deal though, and that may have helped. But we'd heard a few discouraging words about how The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches was coming along, and we didn't necessarily want to be the guinea pigs in the area as far as hotels and restaurants go, so we're switching over to even-numbered years. Did get our season-ticket parking plans settled yesterday and there are games on TV today at 1:00 and 7:00, so all is right with the world once again. Well, with maybe that one exception.

Leaving for Clearwater, FL on Wednesday and we're gonna watch the Phillies take on the Twins Friday. Plus, I need to hit Tampa for a Cubano.

Gonna try to get to Phoenix for a few days in the middle of March. When the Colorado Rockies were training in Tucson I went down often, that's been several years ago though. I enjoyed Tucson more than Phoenix for reasons other than baseball. Still, Phoenix works ok, was down there early March two years ago.

Heh, as I'm typing this post, at my house it was snowing, then sleeting, now raining with 50 mph winds. And the mountain passes going to Denver yesterday were, um, nasty.

I usually go to 4-5 games in the TB/Bradenton/Clearwater/Port Charlotte areas.....but will only make it to two games down in Port Charlotte (to see my team the Rays) and over at Disney (Braves).

So much to do down here in FL during Feb/March with the PGA Tour having three events, MLB, NHL stretch to the playoffs, etc etc. I'll be headed down to the Miami Open (Tennis) in a few weeks as well.

Besides, the Rays will be playing all Spring, Summer anyway over in ST Pete and I have a partial season ticket package for them. Getting my fill of MLB.

I'll probably catch a game or two here in Phoenix despite my displeasure with the cost of tickets. Price keeps me from going more. Brewers have fair prices and the added allure that lightening may strike and you might run into Uecker.

Buy most of my tickets from Stub Hub. A little cheaper, usually.
