The reason the team is hard to follow is I have to get up early for work, and even though I tend to stay up late, it makes it hard to keep it up over time when a Rockies game doesn't start until after 10p here. Games usually last until after midnight, so staying up for the whole game then waking up around 5 in the morning...I'm not old, but I'm not 24 anymore!

I guess Cargo got blasted by a foul ball while waiting in the on deck circle today. He's day to day. Hope he's okay.

Not only Cargo got an ouchey today, they took Tulo to the hospital for xray of sore ribs, and Dexter got hit on the wrist trying to bunt and had to come out.

Lopez gave up a run by balking twice with a runner on second. He got tossed at the end of the inning for mouthing off to the ump about it. Pitching coach Jim Wright got tossed for making the "crazy sign" at the Ump.

Only bright spot is that Jeff Francis pitched six decent innings, getting 8Ks and giving up 2 runs on 5 hits.

Rox drop 2 of 3 to the Nationals, now 35-32 at .522 and 2.5 games behind idle AZ. The SF Giants won tonight and also are 2.5 games behind AZ.

Tulo heading to the DL for a broken rib. Hopefully this is not too long a stay on the DL. The team has some depth, but this is a huge blow. Time for them to sinch down the chin straps and weather the storm.

It happened again....Rox had a five run lead (7-2) then they blew it and ended up losing 8-7.

Pitching has to improve if the Rockies are going to have a chance to make it to the playoffs.

It's crowded at the top in the NL West. The Rockies won to improve to 36-33 and it's a good thing, too. The Padres dropped the B-Backs last night, so the Rox are only 1.5 games out of first, and tied with the Giants (35-32) in second. The Padres have reached .500 with the win.

After a very disappointing loss against the Phillies, the Rockies turned around and man-handled them twice. Glad to see them not flinching offensively even without Tulo. Big road trip coming up. Time to get that road record at or above .500.

Rockies 37-33, alive and well! Go Rockies!

Yes indeed! Rox take 2 of 3 from Phila, are now 37-33 at .529

We're a half-game behind AZ (37-32) who lost today to the Padres who've won 6 straight and 8 of last 10;
We're a full game ahead of the Giants (35-33) who lost today to Atlanta.

It was a good day all around for the Rox!

No doubt they'd like to have Friday night's game back and not let the bullpen give up 6 runs in two innings.
If we had held the Phillies and won that game, we'd be in first place by a half game.
