Dodgers needed a batter who can hit lefties. Pujols might actually help them with that until they can get a clearer picture on making the playoffs. They lost **** and he was a lefty killer.

Saw him on TV the other night playing for the Dodgers where he hit his 6th HR this season and has a .267 batting average. Seems there's still some mileage left in his tank.

Since his prior team was also in the L.A. area this change in teams doesn't mean he has to pick up and move to another city.

I think Pujols will help the Dodgers at least in the short term and honestly I wonder if he could continue through the season. I have to think that Pujols being on the Angels & them just not going anywhere did make him less productive.

Pujols is a smart player but I have to wonder if he just didn't put in 100% anymore being on the Angels. And I'm not saying he went out and was lazy on the field or at the plate but not putting 100% anymore in terms of preparing for the game. A lot of preparing involves studying film etc. If you're Pujols and you're finishing your career & your team is not going to make the post season do you really study for hours & hours? It just seems like what's the point? But now with LA if he knows he has a chance to get another ring + prove to the fans and league he was able to help a team. I think he might be on board.

I thought it was a pretty good chance that Pujols would stay with the Cardinals after they won the World Series in 2011. He'd probably surpass a lot of Stan Musial's team records. But I guess it was not to be.

I predict that if Pujols hits another 15 homers this year, the Dodgers will sign him for another season just to have the ticket draw of a player on the cusp of getting 700 home runs.
