The Fillies did not earn the division.

The Phils absolutely did earn this division. Its not like they backed into first place. They were winning and doing everything right, in spite of injuries. At the same time the Mets showed their lack of character and chemistry, as well as their cockiness, and choked. Let's not mention that the Phils pretty much owned the Mets head-to-head as well, except for that one series in late June at CBP.

[quote=fischfan13;3117930] Remember, Glavine could rarely go past seven innings.
That fact scares the mess out of me. I hope Reyes step up if he's in the rotation because I am not confident in Carlyle (spelling?) and you can flip a coin on the rest of rotation. Hopefullt Soriano will be ready at the start of the season.
Marlin fans where y'all at? (assuming Miami have baseball fans)
National fanatics join in.
This season will be fun for the fans, three really good teams in a dogfight. I hope the Braves make the postseason, the world isn't right when they don't.

When I was in school in Atlanta it was wierd how many non Braves Fans were around. I never had any heated debates with Philly fans and never will because they always sort of liked the Braves (the ones I knew) now with the Mets fans it was sort of different, pretty heated almost came to blows one time. Cub fans are okay, Sox fans are great. I went to school with one guy from the BK who was loved Notre Dame football, Duke basketball, the Chicago Bulls and whoever won the Super Bowl that year so you know he had to be a Yankee fan. Other Braves fans were not good to talk with though. My father loved the Reds though so I sorta dislike Cincinnati.

Philly fans for the most part respect the Braves since, even though they won, they weren't arrogant, cocky, etc. Braves fans aren't annoying. The Mets and their fans tend to be the opposite. I think its the inferiority syndrome from always playing second fiddle to the Yankees in NY. Where I live in Northeastern PA, its pretty much 60% Yankees fans and 40% Phillies fans, since we're 2 hours from both NYC and Philly. I never have any problems with Yankee fans, but the occasional Mets fans here are obnoxious...luckily we don't have too many of them.
When I was about 13 years old my dad took me to a Phillies-Mets game at Shea, and let me tell you, for all the grief Philly fans take for being crude and obnoxious, I took quite a bit of heckling and harrassment for being a Phillies fan, and I was a kid!

no offense to any braves fans, but most of my freinds are braves fans and they act like if the Braves were the greatest frickin' team in the world, they think the Braves can make whatever trade they want, Before the mets got santana, my freinds would be like"we should trade mike hampton for Santana", i was stunned at how downright dumb some of them are, i told them"they are in no way, shape, or form going to do that trade EVER".

LoL. Being a Braves fan can spoil you, the Braves were good ever since my kindergarten or first grade days so the arrogance will be there. I loved it when the Braves ruined the childhoods of Met Fans I just hope the Mets don't ruin my adult life.

That was a dumb thing said by your friend, Hampton is useless. I was hoping for Berdard (sp), but we didn't.

Watch out for the Nats!
National fan here! Lived and died with 'em since the 1980s. I believe this year they should be formidible and could definately turn a lot of heads. Should young pitchers like John Lannan step up and Luis Ayala and John Patterson return to form. The hitting looks pretty decent. A problem we have is whether to have Nick Johnson or Dmitri Young at first base. That's not really a problem at all.
