I prefer not to be a "fan" to the point where I overheat and explode over some perceived slight to "my" team. That changes major league sports from entertainment to exercises in tribalism (which, I do realize, is the soup du jour in the minds of our current glorious leaders).

So Mr. Gurriel will now serve his suspension and pay a much heavier fine than would have been incurred for a similar offense in a less-crucial game, and the sort will be less-tainted by the prospects of "what if". which are turning baseball into a juvenile exercise.
