Mariano Rivera became the first player unanimously voted into the baseball hall of fame, joining Roy Halladay (1st vote), Edgar Martinez (last vote), and Mike Mussina (6th vote) in this class. Schilling, Clemens, Bonds, and Larry Walker were the others who had at least 50% of the vote. Placido Polanco actually garnered two votes, two more than Rick Ankiel, Jason Bay, Freddy Garcia, Jon Garland, Travis Hafner, Ted Lilly, Derek Lowe, Darren Oliver, Juan Pierre, Vernon Wells, and Kevin Youkilis combined.
